New paper on Modeling Transcranial Electrical Stimulation in the Aging Brain
The Woods Lab recently published a new manuscript titled Modeling Transcranial Electrical Stimulation in the Aging Brain in Brain Stimulation. This paper led by Dr. Aprinda Indahlastari represents the largest MRI-derived computational modeling study in history. This paper details the specific contributions of atrophy to the level of electrical current density delivered during tES. As part of this paper, we also produced the new University of Florida Aging Brain 587 (UFAB-587) MRI template, which represents one of the most comprehensive MRI templates for application in studies investigating neuroimaging (MRI, fMRI, etc.) findings in populations of older adults.
