Cindy joined the Woods Lab as an undergraduate RA in the fall of 2017, graduating with a B.S. in Psychology and minor in Communication Studies in 2019. As a Research Coordinator, Cindy is facilitating the Phase III ACT trial investigating tDCS paired with cognitive training in healthy older adults. As an undergraduate, she worked on a poster investigating the relationship between subjective cognitive complaint (SCC) and objective cognitive performance in healthy older adults. She was also involved in Dr. Joseph McNamara’s FEAR Lab where she gained clinical experience in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure response prevention (ERP) for those diagnosed with OCD and other related anxiety disorders. Within Dr. Della Mosley’s WELLS Research Collective, Cindy worked on studies investigating the factors impacting mental health and wellness within racial, ethnic, and sexual minority communities. She is interested in pursuing a PhD in Counseling Psychology to continue studying the stressors impacting mental health wellness amongst Latinx immigrants as well as advocate for immigrants’ rights.
