Michael joined the Woods Lab in February of 2019 as a Research Coordinator for the EXCITE Study and ACTIVE MIND study. He graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2018 with a BS in Psychology. Michael began his involvement in research as an undergraduate studying decision making, learning, adult development, and neuroscience in the Adult Development & Decision laboratory under Dr. Nichole Lighthall. As a research assistant he assisted in studies that researched the effects of different multi-media tools to assist older adults learning of cutting edge scientific breakthroughs. Also, he assisted on a study using eye-tracking equipment to understand the economic decision patterns of both younger and older adults. Michael is interested in pursuing a PhD in Psychology to begin a career in academia as a professor.
